IATA ACE: Where the World’s Airlines Transact Carbon
The IATA Aviation Carbon Exchange (ACE) – operated by Xpansiv in partnership with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) – is a secure and centralized global marketplace for CORSIA Eligible Emissions Units (EEUs) and the CBL GEO CORSIA CP1 standardized contract, as well as voluntary carbon credits.

Offerings
Trade CORSIA EEUs outright and through the CBL GEO CORSIA compliance phase 1 (CP1) standardized contract. Transactions are settled via a range of secure and flexible post-trade mechanisms, including the IATA Clearing House (ICH).
CORSIA EEUs
ACE was developed by IATA and Xpansiv to provide a secure venue for aviation companies to view and transact with offers from project developers and select intermediaries. It provides live bid and offer prices for CORSIA EEUs and related instruments. New EEUs are automatically listed when tagged.
CBL GEO CORSIA CP1 Standardized Contract
The benchmark CBL GEO CORSIA CP1 contract brings the significant benefits of a standardized contract – including enhanced price discovery and liquidity formation – to the CORSIA market. The CP1 builds on the proud legacy of the original CBL GEO contract – the first-ever VCM standardized contract – which was aligned with the first voluntary phase of CORSIA. It also provides a reference price for CORSIA phase 1 to support airlines with budgeting.

Capabilities
CORSIA EEU Procurement Events & Auctions
IATA hosts scheduled CORSIA EEU procurement events exclusively for airlines on IATA ACE with Xpansiv, various project developers, resellers and states. These events facilitate the purchase of emissions units to support airlines in meeting their CORSIA compliance requirements. EEUs can be held in an airline’s own registry account or a subaccount under Xpansiv’s CBL Market Registry Account – reducing management burden for airlines.
