Xpansiv® to Deploy Xpansiv Connect™ SaaS on Google Cloud, Leverage Google API Tools
NEW YORK, LONDON, SYDNEY — Xpansiv®, the leading market infrastructure provider for the global energy transition, will deploy its open-access Xpansiv Connect™ infrastructure on Google Cloud and leverage Google Cloud’s Apigee for enhanced API management capabilities.
Through its comprehensive suite of open APIs, Xpansiv Connect provides seamless access to key operations, liquidity, and data pools, streamlining and standardizing workflows across the global environmental commodities markets.
Xpansiv Connect, which enables connectivity to many leading carbon and REC registries around the world, is currently being moved to Google Cloud to enable customers from all over the world to access and control their environmental portfolio information in a secure and timely manner from every corner of the globe.
“The global push to achieve carbon neutrality makes geographical availability, accessibility and scaling of the world’s leading environmental platform imperative,” said Sesh Sundaram, Chief Technology Officer, Xpansiv. “The partnership with Google Cloud enables Xpansiv to achieve exactly that. Hosting Xpansiv Connect on Google Cloud will ensure highly secure and reliable, low latency connectivity from anywhere in the world.”
In addition, Google Cloud enables Xpansiv’s spot exchange platform to run across distributed geographies. For this reason, the Regional Voluntary Carbon Market Company (RVCMC) and Xpansiv have chosen Google Cloud as their cloud provider in Damman, Saudi Arabia to run the new RVCMC carbon market, set to launch in Q4 2024.
Xpansiv’s hundreds of direct market participants represent a wide range of companies that have varied requirements and sophistication levels. Google Cloud’s API platform enables Xpansiv Connect to support their diverse needs.
Google Cloud’s flexible Apigee solution enables Xpansiv to deliver a comprehensive API experience to clients. The developer portal allows Xpansiv Connect users to explore, understand, and integrate with Xpansiv Connect’s suite of APIs, facilitating rapid integration of their back- and front-office systems. The API platform provides Xpansiv with a resilient, robust foundation upon which to deliver these global services.
Leading exchanges, data providers, and buy-side and sell-side investment firms use Google Cloud and API solutions to reduce complexity and expand globally, securely, and efficiently.
“Xpansiv and Google Cloud are aligned on sustainability initiatives through their shared commitment to leveraging technology to address environmental challenges,” said Sundaram. “Both companies recognize the importance of data in driving sustainable decision-making. By combining our expertise in data, technology, and finance, we are working together towards a more sustainable future for all.”
