  • Xpansiv Connect integration will improve market access for Trovio’s CorTenX users
  • Trovio’s CorTenX services to be linked alongside Xpansiv Connect’s 14 integrated global and regional carbon and renewable energy registries

NEW YORK, LONDON, SYDNEY — Xpansiv®, the leading market infrastructure provider for the global energy transition, today announced an agreement to enable connectivity between Trovio’s CorTenX Environmental Asset Registry Services and Xpansiv Connect, the leading integration hub for environmental commodity markets.

Trovio works alongside governments, not-for-profits and other issuing bodies delivering robust technology solutions to enhance transparency, connectivity, and traceability to help scale environmental markets. Trovio was recently selected by the Australian government’s Clean Energy Regulator (CER) to develop and deliver a new Unit and Certificate Register that will progressively consolidate the Clean Energy Regulator’s current registers, including the Australian National Registry of Emissions Units (ANREU) that supports the Australian Carbon Credit Unit (ACCU) market.

“Trovio’s API-first flexible technology was a key feature we identified, as it enables enhanced connectivity and growth for Australian environmental markets” said Mark Williamson, Executive General Manager, CER.

Jon Deane, Trovio CEO said, “We are pleased that the state-of-the-art registries we are delivering across the globe can be supported by Xpansiv Connect, providing greater connectivity and transparency to global environmental markets. We expect that linking to Xpansiv Connect’s hundreds of active market participants will further scale our clients’ products and introduce new entrants from across the globe, significantly enhancing price discovery and market liquidity to the benefit of all participants.”

“We are pleased to support connectivity to Trovio’s CorTenX Environmental Registry Services by extending the widely used Xpansiv Connect portfolio management system to CorTenX users” said Ben Stuart, Chief Commercial Officer, Xpansiv. “The integration of CorTenX registry technology can expand the number and type of voluntary and compliance environmental commodities available via Xpansiv Connect, which reflects the growing trend among end users to expand the range of carbon and renewable market-based mechanisms in their energy transition programs.”
